This event is part of the IARI project – Innovative Approaches to Refugee Integration, an international collaboration between organisations in Poland, Italy, and the Netherlands working to promote the social and professional inclusion of people displaced from Ukraine.
Over the past months, the IARI partners – with the OPORA Foundation leading the research activities – have been studying and exchanging experiences from the field, from one-stop-shops and helplines supporting displaced persons to training and job counselling programmes. This collective work has led to valuable findings on how communities, institutions, and civil society can better respond to evolving needs.
The upcoming webinar marks a key moment to share these results, reflect together, and open a broader dialogue on inclusive approaches to integration in Europe.
During the event, the OPORA Foundation research team will present comparative findings from Poland and Italy, highlighting how displaced persons are navigating access to work, services, and social life. The discussion will explore:
The main challenges and opportunities for long-term social and labour inclusion;
Promising practices that can inspire more effective and human-centered policies;
Ways to strengthen cooperation between local communities, public authorities, and the EU level.
