As part of the international project “Innovative Approaches to Refugee Integration: Bridging Employability and Social Inclusion Through Mutual Exchange” (IARI), the Best Practice Toolbox for Innovative Approaches to Refugee Integration was developed – a practical set of tools for organisations and institutions working to support the integration of people with forced displacement experience.
The publication draws on the experience of partner organisations working in Poland and Italy: Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH), RED Nova, Emic Foundation and OPORA Foundation. The solutions presented in the toolbox were developed and tested in practice in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Piedmont region.
It is more than a collection of good practices. The publication contains ready-to-use tools, examples and templates that can be adapted to the work of different organisations and institutions.
It includes, among others:
A separate section also presents concrete experiences of the project partners, including the development of the One-Stop Shop model, labour market inclusion activities, the Emic Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Academy, and the adaptation of Polish language courses to participants’ changing professional needs.
The publication is available in English and has been designed so that the solutions it presents can be adapted to different organisations, groups and local contexts.
